Emplas has reported that it has now switched all new orders to Profile 22’s new Optima system ahead of manufacture from the beginning of July.
Optima features a raft of innovations to drive sales across retail and commercial markets includes chamfered, sculptured and a new flush casement.
John Leary, Sales and Marketing Director, Emplas, said that the system had received a universally positive response from installers.
He said: “It’s been an incredibly busy because the moment that Optima was launched at the FIT Show, it’s attracted a huge amount of interest from installers.
“Having spent the past couple of months travelling around the country sitting down with customers, what’s clear is that across the board they like it and we haven’t had a single negative response.”
Optima replaces Profile 22’s FI and FS 70mm systems and is built around a six chamber outer frame and five chamber sash. It includes a choice of 24mm and 28mm double, and 36mm, 40mm and 44mm triple-glazed beading options. This means that it comfortably achieves u-values as low as 0.8W/m2K on triple-glazed units.
Optima also features deeper drainage channels and a new 13mm stack hinge which increases overlap cover to 10mm compared to an industry standard of 6-8mm, improving weather tightness.
The system has been designed to meet all current but also predicted changes in security, with central Eurogroove location of hardware and local thickening of walls, making the system fully compliant with PAS24:2012.
Leary continued: “We been trialling installations through T&K, our own retail business now for a couple of months and what we’re seeing is that it’s good to fit, the ancillaries are there and our installation teams like it. Sightlines, foils, thermal efficiency and weather performance also give it stacks of end-user appeal.”
