Emplas has appointed Jon Tudor to head up its newly dedicated commercial operation in the North of England.
Jon steps into the new Commercial Manager North position having joined the leading window and door fabricator from Newlook Windows, where he was latterly Commercial Director.
Jon started with Newlook in 2006 as a service engineer, moving into installations, aftercare and contracts management roles.
Prior to this he worked in manufacturing roles with Per-Fit Windows from 2001 to 2006, giving him direct experience in manufacturing, installation and contracts management.
“Coming to the role from the background that I have is a definite advantage” Jon explained. “ I’ve worked with a number of different housebuilders but also have worked on site, in trouble shooting as a service engineer, to contracts management roles.
“I understand what housebuilders need from supply partners but also have an understanding of the things that make projects run effectively on site.”
Ryan Johnson, Managing Director, Emplas Group said that Jon’s appointment was key foundation for its new dedicated commercial operation for the North of England.

A keen golfer outside of work Jon enjoys relaxing with his family and walks in the country. He’s also a keen fan of one of his two hometown Premiership clubs, Manchester United.
Emplas offers an extensive range of PVC-U and aluminium window and door ranges. This includes its flagship Optima offer from Profile 22.
Available in fully-sculptured, chamfered or flush options, it comfortably achieves u-values of 1.2W/m2K and can go as low as 0.8W/m2K, meeting Part L, but also potential new requirements under the Future Homes Standard from 2025.
Emplas also supplies a range of aluminium windows from AluK, the Aluk F82 Luminia Bifold, which again comfortably meet u-values of 1.2W/m2K double-glazed; a wide range of composite entrance doors and inline sliding patio doors from PatioMaster.
It is also a launch partner for Kubu, the insurance-company backed smart door locking and window security system, which it supplies pre-installed for optional activation by the end-user.
