Emplas has made it through to the finals in the Fabricator of the Year Category at this year’s G-Awards.
Having won the Fabricator of the Year title in 2015 and 2021, Emplas entered the category this time around on the strength of a 25% increase in turnover, and a multi-million-pound IT and operational investment programme.
Emplas has also launched allocated two-hour delivery slot, plus a 30-minute push notification on arrival of deliveries – something which is giving its customers time back to run their business rather than wait for deliveries.
Ryan Johnson, Group Managing Director, Emplas, said: “We’re delighted to have made the short-list. It’s a very competitive category and there are some very good businesses sitting alongside us as finalists.
“We have had a very successful couple of years with sustained growth but what we’re most proud of is the work that has gone in behind the scenes to make that growth sustainable.
“This includes multi-million-pound headline investments, but equally importantly, the investment that we’re making in our people and teams because ultimately they define the service which we give to our customers.”
Emplas committed to the multi-million-pound expansion of its manufacturing capability in the summer. This includes the addition of two new cutting and machining centres, alongside the launch of new product lines.
This includes becoming the first window and door fabricator in the UK to offer a ‘Works with Kubu’, Secure Connected Device and Secured by Design accredited – as standard – window range.
It’s also created new quality champions across the business, reviewing and refining its operational processes to drive product quality and to lower its environmental impact.
“We’ve successfully brought together three pillars – people, innovation and investment – bringing new levels to our customers”, continued Ryan.
“We have a genuinely dynamic offer, which is redefining standards of service, product quality and customer support in trade window and door supply, and most importantly we will continue to build on that and invest as we move forward.
“Regardless of the outcome on the 24th November, what the team here is achieving is a very significant accomplishment and we’re very proud of what has been achieved so far.”
