Niamh's Next Step (NNS)
Emplas is a family-owned business, and from our humble beginnings we have maintained our family values at the heart of everything we do. Join us as we support Niamh’s Next Step (NNS), a charity dedicated to the memory of Niamh Curry who lost her battle against Nueroblastoma in 2012 at the age of five.
Neuroblastoma is a rare childhood cancer that affects around 100 children in the UK each year. It usually affects children under the age of five, and can occur before a child is born. NNS was set up in 2013 to raise money to help raise awareness of Neuroblastoma, fund research into the condition and support children and families affected by this cruel disease.
Fundraising Highlights 2024
Last year we dedicated our ‘Emplas Open’ golf tournament to Niamh and her family raising a magnificent £13,465.
A Christmas raffle for our employees added another £1,005.
Our grateful thanks to customers and suppliers who supported our events throughout the year.
Fundraising Events 2025
We’re running a number of different events in 2025 – and we’re determined to beat our 2024 tally!
The main event of course is the ‘Emplas Open’ which this year takes place on June 5th, again at Hanbury Manor. We’re looking forward to a great day on the course, and unwinding again at the gala evening. We’ll be joined again by Chris Curry, founder of Niamh’s Next Step.
Don’t wait – get involved
Simply by sharing Niamh’s story and the NNS JustGiving page with family, friends and customers you can encourage further giving – and further caring. If you want to make a donation directly to NNS or get involved in supporting their activities then please be assured you are helping to make a difference.
