Emplas has added the new Dynamic 2D-C hinge, which features a unique patented horizontal adjustment system, to its composite door range.
With a traditional appearance but packed with technology, the 2D-C from SFS Intec, delivers strong aesthetics but significantly increased flexibility in fitting through two-dimensional adjustment of the door.
This includes simple Allen key adjustment to increase the horizontal gap between the sash and frame, plus vertical adjustment.

“The Dynamic 2D-C hinge features a slim-line body which sits neatly over the air-gap of the door and delivers a high level of adjustment, without impacting on security.
“This creates a more consistent pressure across the gasket, improving performance and weather tightness, reducing the chance of a call back – its true ‘fit and forget’ technology.”
The Dynamic 2D-C hinge is available in numerous solid colour options and the high performance Endurabrite chrome and gold finishes, which are guaranteed to withstand harsh environments whilst still retaining their appearance.
It has also been fully impact tested achieving an indicative pass of 13.4kN on a standard 44mm composite slab.
The Dynamic 2D-C hinge represents the latest enhancement to Emplas’ Composite Door Range. Supplied as Secured by Design as standard, this includes a comprehensive choice of composite door styles and finishes, plus a highly competitive range of six specially selected door styles.
Available to its customers with a lead time of just 5-days,this includes the Esteem Solid, and part-glazed, Elegance, Eclat Arch, Esteem, Elegance Arch and Eclat style options.
They’re available in standard, black, blue, green, red, rosewood and white, with specially selected Kara Zinc, Scotia Zinc, Andorra, Zinc and Stippolyte and clear glazing options.
These combinations make up 65% of all Emplas composite door orders, which means that, two thirds of its composite door range as a whole, is available in a 5-day delivery time.
“This is a simple but really competitive offer both in its lead time and price point. It gives installers access to the doors that they sell most of with a really rapid turnaround”, said Kush.
